W. FAYE MURPHREE
Faye Murphree attended Weatherford College where she earned an Associate in Arts in 1978; she then went on to Texas Woman's University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in 1980. She became a Justice of the Peace in Parker County where she would serve for 22 years until 2002. While there she became President of the Justice of the Peace Association from 1988-1989 and served as a member of the Citizens' Commission on the Texas Judicial System from 1992-1993. Faye also became the chairman for the Justice of the Peace Legislative Committee for the 69th Session of the Texas Legislature. She went back to college at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor in 1995 and became a licensed Attorney in the state of Texas. She opened up her own law firm with her son in Azle, Texas that same year. In 2002, she retired from being a Judge and received the T.A. Vines Award for her outstanding service. Faye is currently practicing law almost 30 years later at the same office she opened back in 1995.
D. BRENT MURPHREE
Brent Murphree attended Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1986; he then went on to Baylor University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1991 and became a licensed Attorney in the state of Texas. Later that year he joined the U.S. Army and served as a Judge Advocate General for three years, a significant portion of that time with the trial defense service. In May of 1992, he was promoted to Captain; he served until 1995. In 1995 he opened up a law firm with his mother, Faye Murphree, in Azle, Texas. In addition to his private practice he was a Municipal Judge in the City of Reno from 2005 - 2012. Brent is currently practicing law almost 30 years later at the same office he opened with his mother back in 1995.
